Interactive installation for the City of Flensburg, 2026
How can the recommendations of a Citizens’ Council be communicated in an informal, accessible and engaging way?
For the City of Flensburg, we developed an interactive installation based on 29 recommendations of the Flensburg Mobility Council.
Visitors were introduced to a random selection of recommendations and invited to respond to them. While they were speaking, our software analysed their facial expressions and translated their emotional reactions into an individual visual composition — a Feeling Map that they could take home as a printed postcard.
The recommendations also became part of the installation itself, appearing as projections throughout the space.
In this way, a complex municipal topic became a personal and playful experience: visitors could encounter the recommendations, react to them and see their own response visualised.
The individual reactions also formed a collective Stimmungsbild of the event.
