Emotion Blender was presented at the InnoNation Festival, organized by the Federation of German Industries (BDI), where artists, researchers, entrepreneurs and technology leaders explored the future relationship between creativity, innovation and artificial intelligence.Installed within the festival's AI program, Emotion Blender transformed visitors' facial expressions into continuously evolving projections of light and colour, creating a collective emotional landscape generated in real time.Rather than measuring emotions, the installation invited participants to experience artificial intelligence as an artistic medium—one capable of translating fleeting human expressions into visual compositions that existed only for the duration of the interaction.Presented in the context of innovation and industry, the project demonstrated how artistic approaches can expand conversations around AI beyond efficiency and automation, towards empathy, perception and human experience.
